Bar One is located on Rush Street in the bustling town of Castlebar. It is a family run business with Mark Cadden at the helm. The bar has been recently refurbished with rich dark woods, mirrors and bold colours yet holds on to the classic traditional style. The ethos is firmly great food, great service and great value. The menu focuses on quality, home cooked food with the use of local produce a priority. Lunchtime is the busiest time of the day with favourites like cod in beer batter with mushy peas and homemade fries, Kellys pork and leek sausages with mash and a rich gravy and a selection of prime beef gourmet burgers and pasta dishes. A selection of daily specials and our homemade desserts will whet any appetite. The evening menu is broader with steaks and seafood dishes and a range of excellent pizzas. Every wednesday night is curry night, with a selection of speciality dishes from all over the world. Bar one menu caterers for coeliac’s. To complement the excellent food, there is a concise wine list with 14 wines by the glass as well as sparkling wines and Champagnes. Bar One prides itself on the perfect pint and has a range of premium beers on draft and by the bottle. Bar One serves food from 12 noon to 9pm Monday to Saturday. At weekends bar one is a hot spot with live music and dj.

Yummy Food!!

Went here on 20/03/10 and had the vegetarian lasagne and it was the nicest i've ever had. The chips were beautiful too, chunky homemade!!!!!!! Read more...

A must for food if in the west
